ABOUT GRAPHIC ATTACK!:
“Graphic Attack!” is an explosive group exhibition co-curated by Melissa McCaig-Welles and Andrea von Bujdoss, highlighting an exciting clash of techniques and styles, by 15 of the most prolific experts in urban art and graphic design. The collective display of works by these graffiti artists and graphic designers promises to be a fierce outbreak of complex imagery infused by intense and innovative personal artistic styles.
As contemporary urban art evolves, traditional elements of graffiti are inventively transformed, while graphic design progresses towards highly innovative and bombastic styles. These burgeoning artforms share a symbiotic relationship based on relentless thought-provoking communication as well as redefining and expanding subversive visual language. This show will honor these styles, which are pushing boundaries and contributing to the evolution of graphic art and graffiti.
This exhibition of works include mixed media works including prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture and installation. Works are of various price points, making the art accessible to both serious collectors and fans.
Exhibition will run May 7, 2010- June 19, 2010
